Are Forex Rebates Legit? 7 Checks Before You Choose a Rebate Provider

Admin · 1 October 2026

Forex rebates are legitimate: brokers have paid introducing brokers for referrals for decades, and passing part of that payment back to the trader is an established model. But "legitimate model" does not mean every provider is trustworthy. These are the checks we suggest — and the standards we hold ourselves to.

1. They never ask for your trading password

A rebate provider only needs your account number to match your volume against the broker's partner report. Nobody needs your MT4/MT5 master or investor password to pay you a rebate. If a provider asks for it, walk away.

2. They never touch your trading funds

Deposits and withdrawals should go directly between you and the broker. A rebate provider that asks you to deposit through them, "manage" your account, or move money to a wallet they control is not a rebate provider.

3. Prices do not change

A real rebate is paid from the broker's marketing budget, so your spreads and commissions should match what any client of that broker pays. Compare the live spread on your account with the broker's published spread for the same account type. If you are being given a worse account type to "fund" the rebate, that should be disclosed clearly.

4. The rates are published per account type

Good providers show what you earn on each account type — and, where it differs, per instrument group such as FX, gold and indices. "Up to 90%" with no table behind it is a marketing line, not a rate.

5. The payout terms are written down

Look for clear answers to:

  • When are rebates paid (daily, weekly, monthly)?
  • How are they paid (USDT, bank transfer, e-wallet, back to the trading account)?
  • Is there a minimum withdrawal?
  • What happens if the broker reverses a commission (for example after a chargeback or an abusive-trading finding)?

A provider that explains clawbacks up front is usually one that has thought about running the business properly.

6. You can verify them independently

Check for an operating history, an independent review profile (for example Trustpilot), and a real support channel that answers before you sign up — not only after.

7. They don't sell profits

Rebates reduce costs. Any provider that bundles rebates with "guaranteed monthly returns", signal groups promising profit, or account management is selling something else. Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of loss, and nobody can guarantee profits.

What about the broker itself?

A rebate does not change who regulates your account. Before opening an account, check the legal entity you are signing up with and its regulator — many brokers run several entities with different protections. Our broker pages list the regulators for each broker; confirm the entity on the broker's own registration page.
